Pennsylvania Steel Company, Inc., Bensalem, PA, announces the acquisition of Metal Connections, Inc. Metal Connections, Inc. is located in Hauppauge, NY, and has been servicing the Long Island and greater New York City markets since 1999. They are aluminum plate and saw cutting specialists. Metal Connections will continue to provide all of their plate cutting services with the added benefit of Pennsylvania Steel’s product strength. The addition of Metal Connections enhances Pennsylvania Steel Company’s position as the region's most comprehensive metals supplier. Pennsylvania Steel Company was founded in 1972 in the Philadelphia market. We provide a full line of metal products to the Middle Atlantic and New England markets.

February 2012: Winchester Metals Acquired Pennsylvania Steel Company Inc. has acquired the Richmond, VA, operation of Winchester Metals located in Powhatan, VA. The new Division will be known as Pennsylvania Steel Company- Richmond Division. Pennsylvania Steel Company is headquartered in Bensalem, PA, with service center facilities in York, PA; Allentown, PA; Naugatuck, CT; and Gastonia, NC. All of the Staff of the Winchester Powhatan operation have been retained and are part of the new division of PA Steel. We look forward to growing the staff and all aspects of the Richmond Division in the near future. Our new Division is located at 1495 Oakbridge Terrace, Powhatan VA 23139. December 2011: Allentown Division Expansion Our Allentown Division will be moving into a 75,000 square foot facility in December. The significantly larger facility will allow for expansion of both inventory and equipment. Service levels and next-day deliveries will be enhanced as we add Carbon Bar, Stainless Steel, Carbon Tube and Structural Tubing to our already expansive Aluminum stock. The new facility is located at 1139 Lehigh Avenue in Whitehall, PA.
October 2011: York Rack Investment The York Division of Pennsylvania Steel installed a high racking system in their 65,000 square foot warehouse. The high rack system and two side loaders will facilitate increased inventory levels in all products. Improvements in service and warehouse efficiency will be a direct result of this racking investment.
September 2011: Pennsylvania Steel Co. has acquired Schwartz Steel Service Schwartz Steel has been servicing the metal needs of Western North and South Carolina for over 30 years. They offer a complete line of metal products and are a carbon bar specialist. Pennsylvania Steel Co. currently services the Middle Atlantic and New England manufacturing markets with a full line of metal products and has six warehouse facilities within those regions. The Schwartz Steel Division will now offer the complete line of Pennsylvania Steel products including Cold Finished bar, Stainless Steel Bar, Alloy Steel Bar, Carbon Tubing, Aluminum Bar, Aluminum Plate, & Tool Steels. Also, the current Schwartz Steel Service facilities in Gastonia NC will be expanded to accommodate new products and growth.
January 2009: Dennis Johnson has been appointed Sales Manager Dennis Johnson has over 30 years of experience in the service center industry. He has performed General Manager, Sales Manager and Operations Manager duties in the past 10 years. Dennis is also a Director and Board Member of the Metals Service Center Institute, Philadelphia Chapter, a position he has held for 5 years. Pennsylvania Steel Company is a bar and long product specialist with three facilities in PA (Bensalem, York, and Allentown), a facility in South Plainfield NJ, a facility in Naugatuck, CT, as well as one in Hudson, MA.
December 2008: New England division moves into new warehouse Naugatuck, CT has officially moved into their new 70,000 square foot facility at 322 Great Hill Road, Naugatuck, CT 06770
March 2008: New England division breaks ground for a new warehouse. Our New England Division has broken ground for our new home in Naugatuck, CT. Our new 70,000 square foot facility will be completed in the second half of 2008. The new facility will allow much needed room for additional inventory and sawing equipment. Our New England Division has grown steadily from day one in 2005 when we first opened our doors.
October 2007: Pennsylvania Steel Company Announces the Acquisition of Bethlehem Aluminum Inc. Bethlehem Aluminum is located in Allentown, PA and has been servicing the aluminum needs of the Lehigh Valley and Delaware Valley for over 50 years. They offer an outstanding inventory of aluminum bars, shapes, tubing, sheet & plate products.
